Village

Sougia is a seaside village famous for its beautiful pebble beach and crystal-clear waters. It is a peaceful haven, with a long and wide 1.2 km beach located 70 km south of Chania—an excellent place to relax!
The village remains unaffected by the growth of mass tourism in Crete and is a perfect starting point to explore the famous Samaria Gorge, Agia Irini Gorge, Ancient Lissos, Agios Antonios, and various other hiking routes.

By renting a boat or joining a private boat cruise, you can visit and swim at the South’s most stunning beaches, such as Tripiti, Domata, and others.

There are restaurants/tavernas serving traditional and creative dishes, along with cafés, bars, and mini markets.
